What Is Colour Correction?

Colour correction is the process of adjusting, improving, or transforming existing hair colour to achieve a more balanced, natural, or desired result.

Corrective work may involve:

• Removing unwanted warmth or brassiness

• Correcting uneven colour

• Fixing banding

• Transitioning from dark to lighter colours

• Correcting previous salon work

• Correcting home colour or box dye

• Returning to a more natural result

No two colour corrections are ever the same.

Every appointment is tailored specifically to your hair.

Common Reasons Clients Book Colour Correction

Unwanted Warmth

Hair feels too yellow, orange, copper, or brassy.

Banding

Visible colour lines caused by previous colouring.

Uneven Colour

Patches of lighter or darker colour throughout the hair.

Box Dye History

Moving away from previous at-home colouring.

Colour Gone Wrong

When the result doesn’t match expectations.

Major Colour Changes

Moving from darker colours to lighter, brighter results.

The ED.03 Approach

The health and integrity of your hair always comes first.

My goal is not simply to achieve the lightest result possible.

Instead, every colour correction is approached with a long-term plan designed to achieve the best possible result whilst maintaining the condition of your hair.

In some cases, achieving your goal may require multiple appointments.

Honest advice will always be provided during consultation.

Your Consultation

Every colour correction service requires a consultation before booking.

During your consultation we will discuss:

• Your colour history

• Previous salon and home colour

• Hair condition

• Desired result

• Realistic expectations

• Timings and investment

• Strand testing where required

This allows a bespoke correction plan to be created specifically for you.

Pricing & Investment

Every colour correction is unique, which means there is no fixed price list.

Following your consultation, I will recommend the most appropriate services from the ED.03 menu to achieve your desired result. Depending on your starting point, this may involve a combination of colour, balayage, highlighting, toning, treatments, or multiple appointments.

Every service includes a generous product allocation. However, due to the unpredictable nature of corrective work, additional product may occasionally be required to safely achieve the desired result.

Where possible, I will provide an estimated investment before your appointment begins. However, the final price can only be confirmed once the service is complete, as product usage and the exact approach required may vary throughout the correction process.

Any additional charges are based solely on the services and product required to achieve your result and will never be applied arbitrarily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can colour correction be completed in one appointment?

Sometimes. However, more complex corrections may require multiple appointments to achieve the safest and healthiest result.

Can you correct box dye?

In many cases, yes. Suitability will be assessed during consultation.

Will colour correction damage my hair?

Protecting hair integrity is always the priority. Recommended approaches will be discussed during consultation.

How much does colour correction cost?
